Carl Roth founded the firm in 1979 after 10 years of experience in both the public and private sectors, including three years with a "Big Eight" accounting firm. Sherill Spellman joined the firm in 1986 as a staff accountant and became a partner in 1993. Although the proliferation of computers has done much to alter the methods by which information is processed, the basic tenets of business remain unchanged. Thus, by working closely with clients, Roth and Spellman has been able to build a successful operation by combining personal service and expertise with the newest technology. The firm has served the needs of individuals, corporations, partnerships and LLCs for over 20 years by providing tax planning and preparation, small business accounting services, audits, litigation support, and financial and estate planning. The firm's library includes access to both LEXIS and NEXIS computerized research services, as well as the latest internet services, ensuring the most current information available. This dedication to technology facilitates fast and effective research. The State of New Jersey and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants require a triennial review of firm procedures by another CPA to determine that its reports, quality control procedures, library and continuing professional education credits are up to mandated industry standards. We are proud to have received the top level of certification, an unqualified report without any letter of comments, for each of our triennial reviews. |
